Estate Borgfeld

The Borgfeld manor house and estate have not been preserved. The Dukes of Pomerania granted the Borgfeld estate to the Verchen Convent in the 13th century.

It came back to the sovereign prince in 1579 and came into possession of the Kruse auf Varchentin family, who sold it to Joachim Thun zu Schlemmin in 1611. The estate went bankrupt in 1688. Christian von Marschall purchased the estate in 1694 and sold it to the Countess Helmhold von Plessen in 1750. The Count von Plessen and Adolf von Maltzahn have owned the estate since 1761.
